DTH Drilliong Tools

DTH drilling tool is a kind of drilling system which uses compressed air as motivation, makes drilling impact motivation parts down the hole, to control the piston reciprocating motion by the distribution device in the hammer, and then impacts the DTH bit in the front of the hammer to transit the impacting power to the bit. The DTH bit in the front of the hammer breaks the rock to drill hole.

At present, DTH drilling tool is widely used in underground mining, quarries, hydraulic and Hydro-Power Engineering, water well drilling, Mineral exploration, anchoring hole drilling, geothermal engineering, Subway excavation, another civil engineering. It has the advantage of high flatness, smooth hole wall, high rigidity of drill rod and hammer, independent of high axial thrust, no limit of drilling depth, low cost of devices and are easy to maintain. These have multiple precisely heat-treated tool joints. Internally and externally upset drill rods are available.

AITC's solution for Eccentric Overburden Drilling System is as follows
  • Rapid removal of cuttings; High penetration rate, especially in resistant rock formation.
  • Easy soil and groundwater sampling during drilling.
  • Possible to measure yield estimate at selected depth in the formation.
  • Advantageous in unconsolidated formations with a high risk of caving .

Symmetric Drilling System is designed to drill and case a hole simultaneously through unstable ground conditions. The driver bit incorporated with a sacrificial ring or reusable ring makes a full face head design which significantly improves the penetration rate and hole straightness of drilling. The internal flushing grooves together with the built-in casing shoes gives a good seal to the bottom of the drilling hole, and thus minimizing the disruption of the surrounding of the drill hole. Following mentioned are a few features:

  • Easy System to lock and Unlock Ring.

Concentric casing system with block is a revolutionary new bit design with wings that extend out larger in diameter than the casing while in the drilling position. The face design of the Bit keeps it almost identical with a conventional bit face, allowing for unmatched penetration rates and smooth operation while drilling through overburden, boulders, or bedrock. When drilling is completed, the bit is simply lifted off bottom, causing the wings to retract back into the guide body. This allows all tooling to be extracted while leaving the casing in place. There is no forward or reverse rotation required, nor any expensive rings left in the hole.
